Texting while driving now illegal in Pennsylvania

A law went into effect Thursday making Pennsylvania the 35th state to outlaw texting while driving.
It's likely to be as ineffective here as it has been elsewhere. In fact, one national study suggests that the ban might result in an increase in car crashes due to texting.
